Wow 2 years passed so quickly. We now have our first home. That is one of the biggest changes (so nice to not have a rent payment anymore). We love it here there a few things we need to do to help our house get back in good shape;hopefully it won't all come at once. We were able to get a great deal on a combination pool, air hockey, ping pong table to start our rec room. It is a lot of fun.
We were in a very bad car accident in January thankfully we were not injured but our car did not come home with us. There were many blessings that came out of this accident and many lessons learned. First I am thankful for our Father in Heaven and my knowledge of him. I am thankful for the word of wisdom and the commandments to guide our decisions. The driver that hit us was our age and I feel so sad for the life the way it is and the choices he makes with it. I am however thankful that he is alive. For some reason Heavenly Father needs to teach people lessons and it seems to us that he thinks we can handle multiple car accidents as long as we are together. We have now been hit by a man in a hurry, a texter, a drug addict, and a drunk driver, I hope the lesson gets through to them I don't think we can walk away without a scratch many more times. Knock on wood. Anyway we did buy a new car that should serve us well and we made it out of the accident just being evermore cautious on the road.
Funny thing I posted right after Zehryk's birthday last time, lol. This last weekend for his birthday we went to Boondocks and to Happy Hashi? in Layton, don't go there. The boys loved Boondocks though. We All bowled and mom and dad watched. what a blast! I am so horrible at bowling it is sad and funny too.
As far as our goals that we were working on last time not much has happened. There are things that I feel like I just can't step away from to get goals done.
Work is OK we are both working hard and I am in a very busy season right now, luckily Dr. Bronson has scout camp and hunting so I get a few weeks off : )
Caring for my dad always presents challenges. We have been working hard on combinations of medication and small therapy things we can do at home. There are numerous doctors visits every month, but thankfully he is well and has not had major issues that we aren't constantly thinking of. Surgeries and tests aren't always the funnest but he is doing great with them and we have gotten a lot of great news. I hope to get him fishing and golfing more soon. Today we did a coronary angiogram and thankfully that gave us great news that does make us feel better. Dad's heart problems are most likely caused from lung problems from sleep apnea. Hopefully he responds well to treatment, his heart may not return to normal but they don't plan on going further with it. We are operating on his toe this Friday. After these steps hopefully by the end of the year we can go ahead with the knee replacement. I feel sorry for dad but glad there are things we can do to help him.
We do have major trials in Chris' family and hoping that all those with medical problems will be able to have their burdens lightened soon. There are so many great people going through very tough things.
Grace is a great dog although she can be moody and needs a minute to warm up to people. She has always been play full and Chris loves to wrestle with her.
We just welcomed a new nephew into our family. My brother Dustin had his first child with his sweet wife Emily. He is a little joy and everyone loves him. In a couple weeks he will be "Blessed" and my brother Mikey and his family from Arizona are coming in for it. We are hopefully planning on going to Lagoon with everyone and I'm sure BBQs. I love and miss them so much it will be a lot of fun and we hope they travel safe. I spoke with Cami today (Mikey's wife) and she says she is looking forward to the "spring weather" here.
In all we are having a rewarding summer we aren't planning to far ahead right now with certain things going on we don't want to get too far ahead of ourselves. We always enjoy firework season and camping and fishing as well. I hope we will have more great things going on all summer. : )
